Karen Leaman
TAP Executive Assistant
Karen Leaman is an executive assistant in the Technical Assistance Program (TAP). In this role, she supports the executive director, leadership team, and any staff or clients that need assistance. Scheduling meetings, booking travel, invoicing, organizing events, and other fun tasks fall under “other duties as assigned.” Karen enjoys doing whatever she can to help the TAP and the university succeed in their missions.
Karen began her career at Purdue University right here in the Technical Assistance Program more than twenty years ago. Starting as a secretary and working her way to her current position. Before coming to Purdue, she worked at State Farm Insurance as a keypunch operator and an underwriting assistant and then as a secretary at her church.
Karen has 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren, 2 dogs, and several grand-dogs, cats, and chickens. Most evenings, she can be found watching her grandchildren at their sporting events and playing with her dogs. Her other interests are reading, jigsaw puzzles, and going to fall festivals.
